Chief Nathan Kennerly

1964 - 2011

Chief Nathan Kennerly passed away on July 3, 2011 while on vacation with his family. Nathan joined the department in 1988. Since serving as chief he had been instrumental in upgrading the departments apparatus and equipment. He spent many long hours working on grants so the department could operate with greater efficiency and more safely. Nathan also worked with the Calhoun County Fire Commission to help improve fire service through out the county.

Nathan was a great husband and father, a good fireman, and a friend. He will be missed greatly by those who knew him.
